Distillation (from the Latin distillate “drip” refers to condensate drainage) is the separation of a homogeneous mixture of two or more liquids of different boiling points on each component. By heating the mixture in the boiler or the distillation column to the boiling point, steam is formed by a rich lower boiling component that is in a dynamic equilibrium with the liquid phase (solution). By steam vapor condensing at the top of the column or in a special refrigerator, the liquid phase with the increase of the boiling temperature is enriched by the component of the higher boiling point. Simple steam condensation can only be achieved by the so-called equilibrium concentration. Distillation is applied to the separation and purification of volatile compounds (production of refined ethanol, ie rafinades, spirits, essential oils, etc.). Distillation of substances that are not present at boiling temperatures at normal pressure (eg. vitamins) is carried out in a vacuum (the so-called molecular distillation). Essential oils are obtained in two ways: 1. distillation with water vapor 2. pressing. The boiling temperature of essential oils is high and regularly exceeds 100°C. Theoretically, essential oils could be obtained by heating the plant material at temperatures over 250°C and their coding, but then there would be a process of oxidation of the molecule. Practically, the essential oil would have been destroyed. So before he knew about physical chemistry and theoretical distillation, fictitious distillation with water vapor. The essence of the citrus juice is essential. Everyone who feeds lemon and orange fruit is aware that the oil is released in tiny drops because of physical separation. The developed solution is intended for smart connection of light road signaling with the actual flow of vehicles, while the system, through algorithm, will prioritize, thereby accelerating the flow of individual roads. Further application of IoT technologies also plans to connect data on free parking spaces, important events in the city area, construction works, and the system would direct vehicles depending on the mentioned parameters. The development of this technological solution will ensure: • improving the quality of life of citizens (reducing crowds, getting faster to desired destination), • optimization of public urban transport • increasing traffic safety • reducing emissions. The innovativeness of this project is primarily due to the integration of a number of unrelated technological elements and databases of traffic data into a single management system, and from the application of machine learning elements to the prediction of traffic density over a period of time.

Development and production of an efficiently environment-friendly and widely accessible personal transport solution that would significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment of conventional vehicles and reduce the traffic burden in the cities. Development of electric transport vehicles for the transport of people as well as for the transport of goods within logistic warehouses and in places of poor road development and availability. At the end of the project we want to produce and export compact electric multifunctional vehicles that would be used for personal transportation, transport and delivery of goods to stores in centre of cities or difficult to reach places by standard vehicles; electric cargo bicycles (replacement for street cleaning bicycles with a garbage bin and moped scooter for delivering mail which are noisy and are polluting the environment) all the way to the vehicle as part of a tourist offer (ricksha for sightseeing tour of the city). The specificity is that one vehicle construction combines more purpose (multifunctional vehicle). Our potential partners would would be the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, with whom we co-operate on the project of 3-wheel electric vehicle that is currently being implemented and funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Summary of the project/idea
Alatnica Mislav d.o.o. is a manufacturing company that specializes in the manufacture of plastic parts manufacturing tools and other tools and devices. It also owns engineering in which all necessary technical documentation is designed. In the last eight years, they have developed a complete system of protection against vineyards, orchards and other cultures. All the component needs are made in the toolbox itself, and the tools needed are of course the same. This new drive that will work in their premises will reduce service costs, speed up the concept of the aforementioned works, and employ two more people. This main project foresees the construction of a new production building in Zeleni Brijeg 6 Street, Poljanica Bistranska, Donja Bistra, investor Alatnica – Mislav d.o.o. from Donja Bistra. Purpose – production and processing of plastics. The building, according to this project, is planned to be exported as a free-standing building on the building block cc no. 2606/1 k.o. Donja Bistra. The building is planned to perform Su + P floors with storage in the basement, and a workspace with accompanying ground floor facilities. The production building is a trapezoidal floor plan, max. the dimensions of the external grid 21,29 x 8,40 m. The building is located in the central part of the plot and the main entrance to the basement is on the SI side, while on the ground floor is the JI side and the JZ side. The outer design is a joint of orthogonal lines, flat roof, with prominent constructive lines of openings and canopies. The building is reinforced concrete with reinforced concrete, high load capacity up to 8-10T. In the basement there is a storage room. On the ground floor there is a workshop with accompanying amenities: hall, wardrobe, kitchen, sanitary ware and storage room/trocadero. The height of the basement is 3.75 m and the ground floor is 3.60 m. The bright height of the basement is 3.45 m and the ground floor is 3.40 m.

Šolta is an island in the central Dalmatian archipelago west of the island of Brač; it is separated from the mainland by the Split Channel, from the Drvenik island group by the Šolta Channel, and from Brač by the Split Gate; Šolta is an island of medium size, but with it’s 60 km of very indented coast, it is one of the most beautiful islands on the Croatian coast, mainly because of these peculiarities. The coastline of the island is mostly rocky but there are numerous pebbly bays surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation. The most important places on the island of Šolta are Maslinica, a fishing village, Rogač, the main port, Nečujam, a tourist village, Stomorska, a fishing village and other villages such as Donje Selo, Gornje Selo and Srednje Selo. The main settlement and center of the island are Grohote. Šolta is connected to Split by daily ferry lines. Its 24 bays and 4 ports can accommodate more than a thousand smaller yachts and several thousand swimmers. Although the mainland is only half an hour’s boat ride away, Šolta’s natural environment, complete peace and tranquility remained entirely intact. Her treasure is the preserved nature of these beautiful bays. Šolta offers its visitors to taste and experience once more the Mediterranean from ancient times, the very cradle of civilization. In the very interior of the island you can find very fertile land, and across the island from Stomorska all the way to Maslinica in the west leads a great 20 km long road that runs among olive trees, vineyards, pine trees and other Mediterranean plants. It only stops to reach its roots, these sparsely populated bays and villages of hardship. All ten places are easily accessible by car, so the whole island is a framed whole. The position of the island in relation to the regional center – the city of Split – the island offers favorable development opportunities. The position allows intensive commuting for work purposes, and education, which can lead to the retention and return of the active population on the island, and therefore to opportunities of demographic revitalization of the island from its own resources. Particularly significant is the position of the island in relation to maritime communications (internal and international waterways), among which are Splitska vrata as a meeting point of sea routes. Therefore, Šolta has the ability to make frequent connections to the mainland, as well as interinsular connections. A very important element of the position of the island is its participation in the Adriatic developmental backbone, close to the macro-regional centers, accommodation in Split development center of gravity and also the area eligible for internationalization development programs. A significant element in the situation is the direct participation in important and very frequent internal and international waterway, a special place Split port. Also, an important element of the position of the island is its relatively small distance from the regional center – the city of Split administrative, economic and transport hub. It is also important position in relation to the important and very frequent internal and international waterways, and the most important are Splitska vrata. KUBUS Engineering Ltd. is engaged in tourism services. The company has been operating since 2012. It currently has revenue from leased accommodation in one apartment (approx 80m2) categorized with 3 stars. The project includes: e improving the quality of accommodation through renovating apartments in Grohote, Šolta Island (approx 80m2) in a way that the same adapt in order to be categorized as a five (5) stare adaptation of the apartment of about 40m2 located in the same building, and who is currently in the “unfinished” performance on the way to ensure categorization of five (5) star a swimming pool landscaping facility containing accommodation and the construction of appropriate external content (playground). The company plans to hire appropriate staff to lead the business and carry out the necessary services in the apartments. Availability of the apartments would be 180 days in a calendar year, and the price would be 100.00 euros which amounts to 18.000 euros, of which 30% is the cost (the rest is pure profit). On the island to organize the reception vehicle for removal and transportation of guests, total and one tour of the island, showed the benefits of the crystal clean sea, rent a boat (small marine tourism). The intensity of cultural activities on the island is not high and is subject to significant fluctuations that would fit with the cultural heritage of the island, in particular to co-organized fishing evenings, accompanied by national songs (folkrola island of Šolta), and in particular to work on the old, extinct customs that were once worked on the island, and these are the days of prosecco and pastries. For successful season we conducted negotiations with several agencies that were represented us in occupancy and even determining apartment prices in order to be guaranteed the season and collateral sales and reservations a year in advance. Also, we could come potential partners to fill in the same facilities where they increased offer tourist services. From all of the above that would create jobs, lingering habitants on the island, made any good gross domestic product, and thereby contributed to the faster development of the island of Šolta. For few years back, on the island growing number of low-categorized and, objectively, low-quality private apartment units that do not offer to tourists any additional content except to satisfy their basic needs and enjoy the natural beauty. This assessment indicates that one can not speak of any step forward in improving the tourist offer of the island. The basic idea is for guests accommodation and additional services closer to the local culture and customs, which can be achieved using traditional details in the planning and promotion of local products (honey, oil, figs, herbs). Besides this, there are plans, in cooperation with local partners, to offer additional services such as bike tours around the island, boat trips (visit Diocletian’s Palace, Salona …).

It is planned to provide 8 double rooms with breakfast and wellness facilities; (swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna). The occupancy of the apartment would be 180 days in a calendar year and the price would be 100,00 EUR, which is a total of 18.000,00 EUR, of which 30% is expenses (the rest is net profit). On the island they would organize a reception vehicle for the removal and transportation of guests, group and individual sightseeing of the island, show the benefits of the pearly clear sea, rent a boat (small boat tourism), fit in with the cultural sights of the island and especially participate in the co-organization of fishing evenings accompaniment to the local song (folklore of the island of Solta) and especially to work on the old, extinct customs that used to be done on Solta, which are the days of the aisle and fritule. Due to the successful season, we negotiated with several agencies that would represent us in occupancy and even setting apartment prices, where for certain preparations for the guaranteed season and ensuring payment of sales and bookings, as is already the case in classic tourism, is one year ahead. We would also like to welcome potential partners to fill the same facilities where we would increase the offer of tourist services. It follows from all of the above that they would create jobs, keep the population on the island, leave good gross domestic products and thus contribute to the faster development of the island of Solta. The basic idea is to bring local culture and customs closer to the guests through accommodation and additional services, which is planned to be achieved through the use of traditional details in the decoration and promotion of local products (honey, oil, figs, herbs). In addition, it is planned to offer additional services to the guests, in cooperation with local partners, such as cycling tours of the island, boat trips (visit to Diocletian’s Palace, Salons…). The hotel is planned to be built as a detached building consisting of a basement, ground floor with wellness facilities and first and second floors with rooms. The property is backed by a smaller property with a reception and breakfast area. Surrounded by Mediterranean plants and trees, the property features an outdoor pool and a relaxation area. The construction project for a boutique hotel on existing land in Grohote is under construction.

Summary of the project/idea
Based on completed research and development project of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek, entitled “Research and development of solar electric car”, the idea is to create a commercial or personal two-seater car for road transport. Prototype solar electric vehicles designed for participation in the World Solar Challenge, which requires the design and construction of solar electric vehicles within the specified parameters and guiding solar electric vehicles across the Australian continent in accordance with the regulations. Since the current phase of the project idea / project already completed or has made a prototype of a high-level, it is expected that this project will be very successful. Science and technology evolve and to encourage the most innovative ideas, methods and materials so too do the event requirements. Innovation was that to develop and make solar electric car based on the technical characteristics of the set of fundamental rules of world driving solar electric vehicles. This new project will design, design and build a new electric solar vehicle that receives all the electricity needed through solar cells mounted and integrated into the car body. Drive motors are integrated in the wheels of the vehicle, and the energy comes from newly developed BMS (Battery Management System) battery pack, which is recharged during driving or parking. To reduce carbon footprint in traffic, expect the major innovations and research in the field of sustainable transport. In the long term, the aim of this project is to recruit young people from green technologies into sustainable mobility.

GDi Ensemble for Smart Mobility and Energy provides a scalable, flexible, hardware independent solution for charging infrastructure management that can not only support the expected infrastructure projects, but enable their faster launch, easy integration with legacy projects and more economic planning and rollout. Ensemble for SM&E is a solution fully independent of the charger hardware, built with extensive support for network management business processes, and designed on microservice architecture with the goal to provide a fully flexible and easily scalable solution. Additionally, its planning and simulation functionality set enables cost-effective build-up and optimized deployment of the network. As such, Ensemble for SM&E provides not only a high quality business oriented management system for efficient management of the network by the future operators, but also provides the infrastructure project development companies the ability to plan an optimal network layout, implement it quickly and efficiently without the need for extensive software development or modification for the specific project nor the time and resource cost it entails. This unique set of functionalities positions the GDi Ensemble for SM&E as a tool that can greatly support imminent further development of EV charging infrastructure, as key element of complete E-Mobility ecosystem. We are developing two innovative systems: “ASTERISK” for business optimization and automation of shopping malls and 2. “ATLAS” to improve the security of supervised areas. Both platform products use artificial intelligence technology – a segment of machine learning and computer vision, Automatization of malls – developing computer vision and machine learning trackers ancl security components to evaluate potential fraudulent activities and suspicious behavior. Based on past experience from existing knowledge of automating retail stores (Shop&Touch), we decided to upgrade it and develop new system which integrates artificial intelligence and computer vision enabling creating highly-automated stores. The system suppofis r-rnlirnited number of store articles, has advanced real time recognition system with precise detection of active events. It can differentiate shop items up to tfre smallest level of detail and represents a streamlined scanning and checkout verification process’ Finally. ASTERISK and ATLAS solutions will preient powerful data collector and analysis system with possibility for a wide spectrum of reports. We employ 30 IT experts in Split and Zagreb and we wor’k with world-renowned AI experts.

The goal of the project is to develop an innovative software solution based on machine learning algorithms that will independently monitor and protect personal data from misuse by automating classification and permanent destruction. After long years of uncontrolled mass data collection and new and innovative ways of monetizing the data, the time has come to regulate personal data processing within Enterprise environment. Poslovna Inteligencija has been on the forefront of automating data privacy and our software Data Privacy Manager is included in Gartner’s market guide for consent and preference management software. Working with our Customers, we have discovered that there is no efficient solution for personal data removal on the market and we have developed an innovative concept leaning on our already proven Data Privacy solution. The concept is based on a very simple rule: when the purpose for processing expires, personal data must be archived and subsequently permanently removed. Research part of the project will be mainly focused on training the right machine learning algorithms for data classification and building the concept for mapping EU and US data protection regulations in a way to allow management of personal data lifecycle. The development part of the project will connect all researched results and bring about the only automated personal data removal solution. The solution will help companies be compliant and trustworthy, and it will drastically reduce the negative impact for the Organization in case there is a data breach.

This Croatian product has been patented in Geneva for more than 159 countries. The prototype is made. waves defense, shields luxury yachts in marinas, generates energy by means of a collector, making erosion makes the beach safer for swimming. he present invention relates to wave breaking consisting of PES/PVC fabric, highly open mesh with openings, steel cable, steel profile, steel chains and concrete weights, classified according to International Classification (MKP), class 17. Technical problem: Big damage is caused every year by sea waves around the world, one of the most complex problems. This problem is especially troublesome in coastal cities, ports, as well as ships in marinas, coastal cafes that flood every year and cause damage from sea waves. The problem is how to reduce the damage caused by storm sea waves. Guided by these issues, we have entered into the development of the ‘Wave Breaker’ item. Today, there are sinks that are made of metal that are complicated to manufacture, heavy-duty requiring mechanization, tugs, trucks, long hauling times is days and set-ups and takes 50 people to complete the process and cannot be assembled in multiple locations in a single day rigid is metal. The primary object of the invention is to improve and facilitate existing metal — sinks to be able to manipulate 5 people in one day at multiple different locations as a wave shield.It is a secondary object of the invention to provide better efficiency and flexibility of wave protection. The further goal is to provide better protection against waves, because our system is more flexible than metal sinks that are not suitable for wind but for flood protection. Our system has three functions: 1) protects against waves 2) protects against flood occurrence 3) collects waste under and above water. The “wave breaker” of the present invention includes: • Fabric pipe 650g/m2, 5-20m long, 1-10m in diameter, interconnected to the desired length to form a coastal shield, about which sea waves break and weaken their destructive power as well as collecting waste on the sea surface .The length of the pipe is welded (fixed) with a high intermittent mesh with openings for the seawater to circulate smoothly, and at the same time to break up the sea waves as well as collect waste under the sea. The high breaking mesh with openings is connected to steel cables and its breaking strength is measured with metals. The steel cables are connected to the steel profiles, in such a way that our invention is mobile and can absorb strong shocks of waves, which is not the case for metal sinks.The steel profile connects to chains that are connected to the concrete weights and make the mvention stable.Further research would include studying and exploring the impact of a wave into our system, how the impact of a wave into our system produces energy.

In steering unmanned systems, pilots are faced with numerous challenges that affect their ultimate experience in managing such systems. Some of these challenges are the speed of the pilot’s reaction, sense of space, and insufficiently realistic reality. In unmanned systems used for special purposes, this can be of crucial importance for the security of operating units and people involved in such operations. It is therefore necessary to provide the pilot with as much realistic conditions as possible, especially in remote control. Although remote control technologies already exist, they exhibit numerous limitations which lessen their reliability, security and the safety of personnel because of the implicit need for a proximate personnel presence in their operating location. In remote management, latency is one of the biggest problems because the delays in the signal distort the real-time feeling that is directly related to determining the exact location of the unmanned system. The second problem is the control interface of the existing unmanned systems, which consist mainly of the screen and the control panel (joystick). Such control interfaces can not reliably reflect the location and speed of remote controlled unmanned systems. The general objective of this project is to improve overall user experience in managing unmanned systems (aerial, surface, ground and underwater). We want to achieve this through conducting research and development activities aimed to accomplish several specific objectives of the project. Project activities that we tend to conduct include research on different latency sources, main factors and their impact on overall latency, possibilities of reducing latency in every source individually, theoretical and practical (physical) latency limits, factors that influence user experience while remotely managing unmanned systems and possible improvements to existing unmanned systems to further improve their ergonomics and usability in various operations. Based on the results of research activities, we plan to develop ergonomically improved solution for managing unmanned systems, vendor and platform independent, that is reliable, safe and secure for use in special operations (both civil and military).

Automated video surveillance is based upon multi camera technology that has been developed by our company. It is a patent pending technology that uses cameras in a new and innovative way. Indoor as well as outdoor moving object path is recorded and sent to remote controlled centre in real time. Our technology is the only technology in the world that is extracting this type data from video stream. Automated tracking. PTZ cameras are controlled bv the area coverage cameras for an object real time tracking. In high security applications every person is tracked with high resolution PTZ camera and every person path is recorded. This feature is also unique to our technology, area coverage camera are tracking all moving objects and PTZ camera is directed for tracking according to customer criteria’s. Hardware and Software Independent. Any camera can be used in our system as well as any software platform. Our offer includes technology that is 100% owned by us, there are no third parties IP rights included in this offer. Video stream from low resolution motion detection cameras (Base layer cameras) is recorded on a site level, only high-resolution images from PTZ cameras is transferred, when alarm is activated. High resolution video stream with location route is the data sufficient for decision making. Automated video surveillance system is technology in demand for more than a decade. Todays video analytics systems have not met the exaptation of customers for reliability and ease of usage. Surveillance applications for industrial warehouse, or remote location offices where intruder needs to be tracked with PTZ camera is demanding job for security officer. Tracking two intruders is impossible task for a one security officer. Depside the high demand from a market, todays technology have not manage to solve the problem of tracking several persons in wide area such as warehouse or a city centre, displaying their current locations on geo map and use PTZ cameras for automated tracking of persons or a moving objects. My company have developed world first visual stage tracking system. This system directs light on a stage performer and track it with light. Our system is in use in today Metallca 2019 tour, Theatres and several other shows. By the beginning of this year we have manage to design world first multicamera system. Based on this technology we have design world first Automated Video Surveillance system that we have named – DDOG. This system is analysing video image, and detects people or vehicles in video images. This is not a new feature, a lot of AI based systems have the same functionality. But, out technology enabled us to go much further. We can add GEO location to all detected objects and track it’s movement in real time. We can automatically track any moving object with PTZ cameras. We can track one object with several cameras in real time. We can control lightning and audio warning based on geo location of the moving object. All this features are unique features of our system. Our automated video surveillance system is intended as a crime prevention system. System is automatically warning the intruded(s) that they have been detected, it will increase light level, automatically activate video strem to NOC and alert surveillance officer. This system functionality is forming the basis for remote control video surveillance, or Cloud Video Surveillance. System is automatically zooming on a detected person or a vehicle. System can also control PT thermal cameras and be used as a early fire detection system. All this functions are fully automated and based on our technology. Automated video surveillance is AI system that is supervising entire object outside as well as inside area and records all events on site. Event that is defined as alarm is automatically transferred to NOC for a human authentication. This NOC system design enables remote control of several remote objects by a single security officer, thus reducing the number of security officers on a site level enabling the huge savings. Today, video surveillance companies are struggling with a shortage of surveillance officers and they heve to turn down the new customers since they can not provide them with they services. NOC that will offer remote video surveillance with automated detection, geo location and geo routing and automated object tracking is enabling video surveillance companies to use one security officers to supervise several objects. ICT, or a Cloud surveillance is web based video surveillance, meaning that any object that has a internet connection of 10Mbit/s is object that can be supervised. NOC centre from Zagreb can supervise object in Dubrovnik, Milano or Toronto. Automated video surveillance is a software and hardware independent product. It uses PC and video cameras on a site level and PC or Web service on a NOC level. Automated video surveillance of sport objects, schools, warehouses are just some examples of video surveillance systems that can be implemented as a remote controlled systems.

Hoping for further intensification Croatian continent, the Ministry of Tourism launched a project to introduce Cro cards through which they want to activate domestic tourism market and create a competitive business environment that will in the future create the conditions for greater investment and recognition on the European and world markets. Croatian continental tourism currently affects only about 2% of tourist traffic, with the aim of applying cards to increase to about 8-10%. This project want to allow and direct interest in domestic travel to the Croatian continental cities, spas, rural areas and offer, natural and cultural attractions, adventures and amenities. This will create the conditions for a competitive business and attract foreign tourists. According to current analysis, project Cro card should enable the realization of new total revenues to 5.4 billion, 10 to 21 thousand new employees and up to 11 billion new investment. The full implementation of this project are expected in 2018. In order to strengthen continental tourism, ie the affirmation of tourist continental destinations, Croatian National Tourist Board carried out during the year Fair performances and presentations of tourist community Continental / underdeveloped counties. In this sense, independent Fair Presentations continental county tourist boards encourage ufinanciranjem 75% of the cost of leasing and planning to 12 m2 exhibition space. Project idea: Production of CBD oil from industrial hemp flower by the processes of CO2 extraction and flash chromatography.

Summary of the project/idea
The main project aim is to develop a set of finished products – highly valued auxiliary drugs and nutritional supplements made from industrial hemp flower, based on the active substances CBD and CBDA and other organic raw materials. The products either do not contain any THC active ingredients, or if they do – the percentage is lower than the 0.3% allowed in the EU. The production of CBD in industrial frames requires top quality equipment for CO2 extraction, molecular distillation and commercial-scale gas chromatography. Some pieces of equipment will also be used for the extraction of other products such as medicinal herbs, grape seeds and other miscellaneous plants. The investor has developed the process and tested the technology at the laboratory level with foreign associates, and wants to acquire a complete system for the production of full spectrum CBD oil at the commercial level. PROJECT AIMS: 1. To establish a commercial business process for the production of CBD products consisting of: a/Proper drying of the green mass with a special condenser dryer, b/CO; extraction of dry hemp flower at very high pressure of 400 bar resulting in CBD extract, c/Molecular distillation of the CBD extract with the preliminary separation and subsequent recovery of the terpene and reduction of the THC percentage by the EU standards using the process of chromatographic separation. 2. To select and acquire commercial and industrial equipment for implementing all stages of the process. To complete technological transition from the laboratory equipment to the commercial-industrial level. 3. To produce 8 final products using the high quality 80% CBD oil. The planned amount is up to 500 kg of concentrated CBD oil per year. Organic raw materials, production space and staff are provided.

Summary of the project/idea
In many countries, including the Republic of Croatia, deforestation is gaining ground. Forests are exposed to natural disasters, industrial pollution, deforestation, overexploitation, and conversion to other crops and fires, resulting in increased damage and deforestation. Spatial analysis of the representation and condition of forests, in addition to terrestrial observations, can be carried out by remote sensing methods (eg interpretation of infrared color aerial images, spectral analysis). In ICK aerial imagery, damage is observed even before eye- catching signs appear in nature, due to changes in the spectral reflection of vegetation. Advanced aerial photography techniques allow us to gain insight into the current state of affairs in a wide geographical afforested area in a short period of time. By looking at these recordings, we can obtain accurate information on the impact of biotic, pedospheric, topographic, climatic and other factors on which we can make decisions and plan appropriate measures to address the negative impacts. Due to the great economic, ecological and general value of the forest ecosystem in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, our primary task is to carry out the highest quality research of the forest areas in order to better study, control and if possible prevent the occurrence of damage and health. In addition to the great importance of forests in the ecosystem, they are also an important economic resource, not only for timber production, but also for other resources used for medicines and other products. The solution we propose can also serve as a source of useful information for monitoring the production and export potential of the timber industry. In this regard, the overall objective of the project is to monitor the health of the forests, to preserve the forest areas and to enhance the generally beneficial function of the forests. Specific goals we want to achieve with the implementation of the project include (S1) the development of ICK aerial images of the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia; (S2) investigation of morphological and physiological changes of the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia; (S3) collecting data for damage inventories (mapping) required for the cultivation, editing, protection and utilization of forests; (S4) creation of multilayer maps for display on the GIS system. The main activities of the project include: (1) Creating an ICK IMAGE of the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia; (2) RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS of the phytocenological system of the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia; (3) RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS of morphological and physiological changes in the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia; (4) Creating an inventory map of the most important forest areas in the Republic of Croatia, showing them on the GIS system. The expected results of the project are (R1) aerial photography of forested areas in the Republic of Croatia, as a result of development activities; (R2) map of the phytocenological system in the Republic of Croatia as a result of research and development activities; (R3) established canopy morphological changes related to branch dying and leaf loss as a result of research activities; (R4) identified physiological changes in the canopy as a result of research activities; (R5) conducted inventory of forests in the Republic of Croatia as a result of development activities. The innovativeness of the project we propose is manifested through the application of remote sensing methods that, in relation to terrestrial methods, allow for the inventory of incomparably larger areas, are not limited by terrain accessibility, require significantly less time spent, enable research and analysis of forest conditions (scale/intensity), determination of surface distribution, study of terrain features (altitude, slope, exposure), determination of environmental impacts … The results of all research will be presented on a GIS system that can be used for the purposes of ecological and economic planning and forest management.

Summary of the project/idea
Family farm Jure Bočina was registered in 2006. When a request was submitted to the Ministry of Rural Development, Forestry and Water Management to obtain a right of service (concession) on a forest land of 12.6 ha in the area of the Grad Stari Grad on Hvar. The lease contract was completed in 2016. In the meantime, a project called AGRO AGER PHAROS was conceived, which contained and should be realized in 3 phases: 1). Creation of primary production by raising multi-annual crops 2). Processing and marketing of yield from primary production 3). Construction and marketing of agrotouristic contents in the form of rural holiday houses for the purpose of self-sustainability of Family farm. The first phase was realized til 30.11.2011. by raising 2 900 seedlings of olive plants, 900 seedling of a rose hip (pomegrqante tree) and 45 000 seedlings of an artichoke plant (interplant planting). Total investments in land preparation, planting material, planting and irrigation system amounted to about 4.000.000 kunas. The source of funding was their own funds. The funds for the promotion of capital investments in the amount of about 2.000.000 kunas were not obtained. The second phase was not realized because according to Family farm’s plan, investments of about 900.000 euros were needed. Family farm Jure Bočina could provide 270 000 euros. The rest should have come from accessing funds in from of rural development measures which for whatever reason could not be realized. Family farm Bočina had a project to build a 1.000 m2 facility in which processing and storage capacities of oil, distilleries and final agricultural products were installed. The project was given the green light of the State Office for Urban Planning in Hvar. The second phase took place from 2013. to 2015. At the beginning of 2017., important steps were taken in a more qualitative approach to agriculture, and in particular to Family farms. This has resulted in the creation of a quality foundation for the construction of agro-tourism facilities, ie the realization of the third phase of the project. Thanks to the PP of the City of Stari Grad, the good coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of State Property on the mentioned state land owned by Family farm Jure Bočina it is possible to build 6 rural holiday houses. The location is ideal because it is close to the ferry dock, sports aerodrome, heliodrome, ACI marina and borders with the Starogradsko polje under the protection of UNESCO. The construction of agrotouristic contents would solve the problem of sustainability of primary production. By increasing accumulation and creditworthiness, plans from the second phase could also be realized. Investments in the third phase would amount to about 3.000.000 euros. The Family farm Bočina would provide infrastructure (water, electricity, roads) and land parcels worth about 500.000 euros. Family farm has provided prerequisites for obtaining funds from EU funds in the amount of 1.200.000 euros, and potential partners should provide approximately 1.500.000 euros. Summary of the project/idea
AGRO ČOVAC d.o.o. represented by Zoran Burić from Zagreb submitted an application for entry into the Farmers Register on 23 April 2018. The Black Slavonian pig is an indigenous breed that has been bred in Eastern Croatia for 140 years. Although nearly 15 years ago, it was near extinction, but nowadays its numbers have increased many times. The cost-effectiveness and profitability of producing a black Slavonian pig comes from a number of advantages that it has over modern breeds and types of pigs that relate to its longevity, resistance and adaptability to extensive holding conditions. Increasing production and developing the market for traditional meat products, such as the Slavonian kulen, may in the future represent the best path for the long-term preservation of the black Slavonian breed as an integral part of biodiversity. In the part of the European Union budget relating to agriculture, a significant item concerns the co-financing and support of keeping indigenous breeds of domestic animals in conditions that are consistent with the welfare and health of pigs, as well as developing productive constitutions that do not have a negative impact on the environment. which support the development of rural areas, the conservation of biological resources and biodiversity, and ensure the production of high quality indigenous products. The breeding of black Slavonian pigs in the manner mentioned above covers almost all areas of co-financing and support from EU structural funds. Black Slavonian pigs were raised in free-range keeping, which means that they spend most of their time outdoors moving in pastures, meadows or forests where they find some of the necessary food. Considering the traditional way of breeding this breed and recent recommendations for keeping pigs outdoors for the black Slavonian breed, the following recommendations can be made: sufficient areas should be provided for pigs to be kept outdoors, areas for pigs should be maintained and isolated; pigs or piglets, to respect the welfare requirements of pigs. The Black Slavonian pig breed is characterized by its resistance and high adaptability to different feeding, keeping, care and climate conditions. This is why our indigenous breed is a positive solution in an open holding system. Agro Čovac d.o.o. decided to breed black Slavonian pigs from the point of view of pig production with high production intensities, which will result in the formation of production systems that exploit the genetic potential of the pig to the limit of their physiological maximum. Such production systems are expensive, require a high level of knowledge to manage them. Production of pig farming in the Republic of Croatia, most pigs are raised on family farms, but unfortunately they are not competitively marketed. Black Slavonian pigs have alternative systems of holding, feeding, which are largely usable for measures and capacities that exceed pig farming on farms.

FPS – Frost Protection System is complete web-based IoT communication solution. We developed an upgrade to existing frost protection and irrigation systems with a smart system. A system for monitoring weather and system conditions within orchards/vineyards/olive groves or similar open-end crops that would predict the risk of frost and other agrometeorological disasters based on previously collected data. Based on calculated fuzziness, the system informs users about the possibility of early spring frosts or drought and give the possibility to start the protection system manually or set the protection automatically. It is peer to peer LoRa based solution. System is designed to collect data every 3 minutes and on request through custom request button on the app or web interface. We have a commercial ready system prototype which is made of multisensor node, gateway, dynamic database, cloud functions, web app. Currently we are developing predictive models to work with our notification system that will inform our customers of possible frost, wind, drought damage. Also, we are in testing phase of developing the valve node which will act as a switch to start and control frost/irrigation system.

Both platform products use artificial intelligence technology – a segment of machine learning and computer vision, Automatization of malls – developing computer vision and machine learning trackers ancl security components to evaluate potential fraudulent activities and suspicious behavior. Based on past experience from existing knowledge of automating retail stores (Shop&Touch), we decided to upgrade it and develop new system which integrates artificial intelligence and computer vision enabling creating highly-automated stores. The system suppofis r-rnlirnited number of store articles, has advanced real time recognition system with precise detection of active events. It can differentiate shop items up to tfre smallest level of detail and represents a streamlined scanning and checkout verification process’ Finally. Its development has to serve the agriculture that is environmentally sustainable and cost-competitive. This results in fewer pesticides and fertilizers application, less water consumption and more efficient growing, which is especially important in fruit production. We recognized the mentioned challenges and developed advanced selective and variable agricultural sprayer technology as the answer. It intends to integrate smart high-efficiency variable-rate selective sprayer technology with direct injection and precision farming platform for collection and analysis of vegetation data. Our technology is decreasing the use of pesticides and water in spraying operation on crops, fruits and vines up to 40%, reduce operating time up to 30% and increase yield up to 20% in addition to increasing the quality of products.

Through the torrefaction process, the energy density of the raw material is increased by over 30% using a proven mechanical process and technology known as RO-2 technology. This technology is extremely energy efficient, scalable and allows the use of a wide variety of organic materials such as: empty fruit bunches, logging residues, straw, bamboo, sugar cane husks etc. By utilizing the abundance of bio-waste that are low-value materials with high disposal costs, many agriculture companies now have a solution to their waste material problem. The hydrophobic nature of the e3-biocoal is a unique feature of e3-Coal and has massive implications in terms of transportation and storage costs for consumers. Wood pellets are primarily used in co-firing today and the co-firing rate with wood pellets can reach 5-10% while e3-Biocoal can achieve 50-70%. In addition to significantly reducing the volume of traditional fossil coal required in the co-firing process, e3-Biocoal can be used with existing industrial infrastructure designed for coal without any process changes. Other potential applications for e3-Biocoal include: co-gasification, pellet boilers, biochemicals, etc.

The aim of the project is to explore the possibility of applying new ICT solutions for the protection of the water ecosystem services and optimization of water risk assessment methods in Croatia and the EU. The ICT prototype will provide new insights for the business community, key stakeholders and the scientific research community regarding the possibilities and effects of the latest technologies (Internet stuff, machine learning, predictive analysis) and collaborative approaches to the use of investigative monitoring of different water bodies and the application of new biological monitoring methods for the goal of raising the level of water safety in Croatia and the EU. The project’s objective is to raise the awareness that ICT solutions can empower citizens by giving them the opportunity to jointly participate in water quality monitoring to enhance communication and transparency in water security. The development of new digital services follows the HR and EU initiatives on improving water quality monitoring, information and community involvement in water quality monitoring and the need for an innovative model for quick identification of threats to water security. Expected results of the project are: A) new skills and know how, needed to develop ICT solutions for, cost and time efficient, data collection and management processes for safety and water quality, including ICT tools for predictive analytics over large amounts of data collected to assess water risk and prevent potential impacts to human health. B) automated risk assessment based on multivariate analysis results and correlation of results from different sources and collection methods. C) supporting decision-making related to water security and water quality issues with a view to faster detection of potential threats and the creation of prerequisites for more efficient allocation of resources. D) inform the local community about water quality, potential risks, and advice on conservation and protection.

Research activities within the project Geothermal Exploration R&D Center aim to develop new methods and services that will enhance the capabilities of the INA Exploration dept. and comply with INA’s energy and environmental requirements and strategy which will increase the competitiveness and added value of our company at local and global energy market. Also the activities are based on EU energy and environmental policy, thus leading to greater energy sustainability and low carbon emissions. New innovative research activities will focus on carbon dioxide as potential geothermal fluid which will provide new insights into the geothermal potential and exploitation of geothermal energy. The purpose of the project is to increase the development and utilization of all aspects of geothermal energy through the creation of conceptual and full field reservoir models based on experimental data, thus obtaining the input data for techno–economic and risk management analysis. Besides the conventional geothermal production, project activities will mostly focus on carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), by means of using carbon dioxide as a working geothermal fluid instead of water where it would be utilized in a closed loop system. When it comes to fluid properties, carbon dioxide has many potential advantages which could lead to generating more power, reducing power plant operating costs as well as creating carbon free environment by storing it in the reservoir. The R&D outcome should give better understanding of the fluid and rock interactions suggesting new methods and technologies in order to produce the geothermal energy by using carbon dioxide.

Summary of the project/idea
It is well known that today’s standard centrifugal pumps can only produce fluid with 20-25% of the gaseous phase fraction in the fluid and up to 35% in the specialvortex design of the impellers parts. For larger gaseous phase sections, it is necessary to change the pump type and to use more expensive alternatives or to add a gas separator, a multiphase pump or a combination of these, which increases the cost and still does not ensure reliability in the work. With our project, we want to demonstrate a new pump solution that is reliable, competitive in price, superior in technical characteristics and for multiphase and gaseous fluids, enabling the centrifugal type of pump entering the application area reserved for other types of pumps while retaining all the benefits of the centrifugal pump type. The project aims to develop and demonstrate a prototype of new centrifugal pump type and operation management and the feasibility of maintaining the required ratio of liquid and gaseous phases in to the pump during dynamic, variable operating conditions with a very high proportion of the gaseous phase in the production fluid. The project starting from TRL5 and ends with system complete and qualified TRL7, first product complete. The level of performance demonstrated in working condition will, in the technical sense, position a new pump in relation to the state of the art and economically in relation to the size of the new product market. The proposed new concept of pump solution that enables reliable, energy-efficient production and over 9O%, of the gas phase fraction in the production fluid under the toughest production conditions will be used in oil and gas production, in the production of methane gas from coal deposits, mining, energy plants, in the petrochemical and chemical industries as well as in other industries and applications where the multiphase fluid flow occurs.

a) The aim of the project idea is to develop a prototype of a device for drive of work machines with energy from the environment. The innovation is intended to be widely used in the industry for the drive of working machines such as: mills, pumps, generators and other working machines. Vision: Positioning with a new device on the international market that is intended to produce mechanical energy by converting energy from the environment, which is directly in the function of protecting the environment. (b) Main activities: The development of the project idea is envisaged in two phases: 1. Industrial research: Defining the drive architecture/math. Modeling, and technical documentation required to develop the development prototype; 2. Experimental development: Development of functional prototype of the device, and prototype development of the control unit: hardware/software for functional testing. (c) Expected results of the project: The prototype will be validated by demonstration in real working conditions, followed by batch production and certification for the global market. Upon completion of these project activities, serial production of devices and installations is envisaged. The device is intended to be used in various industries from milling and recycling of secondary raw materials or, for example, in technical gas production plants. (d) Partners and cooperation with the business sector/scientific community: The participation of partners and business associates or subcontractors in the project is foreseen at all stages of the project. So far, through informative discussions with potential users in the Republic of Croatia, the possibility of using devices in the processing industry for the use of mechanical energy for material recycling purposes has been discussed. A prototype development team could be formed at the University of Zagreb and Varaždin, and it also envisages the involvement of external experts and consultants for technological and technical development (planned cooperation with industry partners) as well as experts in economic and financial monitoring of the project. The wave waves is a Croatian invention that has won the gold medal in SanFrancisco from more than 1800 innovations from all over the world, a gold and bronze medal for women. This Croatian product has been patented in Geneva for more than 159 countries. The prototype is made. waves defense, shields luxury yachts in marinas, generates energy by means of a collector, making erosion makes the beach safer for swimming. he present invention relates to wave breaking consisting of PES/PVC fabric, highly open mesh with openings, steel cable, steel profile, steel chains and concrete weights, classified according to International Classification (MKP), class 17. Technical problem: Big damage is caused every year by sea waves around the world, one of the most complex problems. This problem is especially troublesome in coastal cities, ports, as well as ships in marinas, coastal cafes that flood every year and cause damage from sea waves. The problem is how to reduce the damage caused by storm sea waves. Guided by these issues, we have entered into the development of the ‘Wave Breaker’ item. Today, there are sinks that are made of metal that are complicated to manufacture, heavy-duty requiring mechanization, tugs, trucks, long hauling times is days and set-ups and takes 50 people to complete the process and cannot be assembled in multiple locations in a single day rigid is metal. The primary object of the invention is to improve and facilitate existing metal — sinks to be able to manipulate 5 people in one day at multiple different locations as a wave shield.It is a secondary object of the invention to provide better efficiency and flexibility of wave protection. The further goal is to provide better protection against waves, because our system is more flexible than metal sinks that are not suitable for wind but for flood protection. Our system has three functions: 1) protects against waves 2) protects against flood occurrence 3) collects waste under and above water. The “wave breaker” of the present invention includes: • Fabric pipe 650g/m2, 5-20m long, 1-10m in diameter, interconnected to the desired length to form a coastal shield, about which sea waves break and weaken their destructive power as well as collecting waste on the sea surface .The length of the pipe is welded (fixed) with a high intermittent mesh with openings for the seawater to circulate smoothly, and at the same time to break up the sea waves as well as collect waste under the sea. The high breaking mesh with openings is connected to steel cables and its breaking strength is measured with metals. The steel cables are connected to the steel profiles, in such a way that our invention is mobile and can absorb strong shocks of waves, which is not the case for metal sinks.The steel profile connects to chains that are connected to the concrete weights and make the mvention stable.Further research would include studying and exploring the impact of a wave into our system, how the impact of a wave into our system produces energy.

The Culmena Ltd. team of experts has been successfully improving the business processes of manufacturing companies for many years, by applying Lean principles and Industry 4.0 elements, and with this project plans to develop a new technology solution that will apply augmentated and virtual reality (AR/VR) elements to maintenance processes within the manufacturing and utility companies in the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the project is to develop a new technological solution that will enable the visualization of industrial equipment and machines in augmented reality, easier detection of problems and failures, and which will propose solutions to eliminate observed problems in the shortest possible time. The purpose of this project is to develop augmented reality goggles that, with the help of elements of the Internet of Things, will improve prevention in maintaining machines and equipments. Furthermore, the implementation of machine learning will enable faster, easier and more accurate fault diagnosis. The development of such a technological solution will provide savings in the production process, reduce resource consumption and increase availability of machinery in the manufacturing companies, and speed up the process of repairing machinery without generating additional designs and documentation. Consequently, the project will result in better performance indicators (OEE, productivity, quality of products and services, cost reduction) that will be reflected both on equipment users and on the quality of products and services for end users. The innovativeness of this project comes primarily from the merging of complex machine elements with new technological solutions such as augmented reality, the Internet of Things into a single, easy-to-use solution.

Carbon is the backbone of the modern economy. The market for products made from CO2 is estimated to be over $1 trillion per year, but CO2 emissions have become a serious modern society liability. Today, there is a global CO2 initiative to make new innovative productive use of excess CO2 emissions. The new opportunity are products and materials like graphene, carbon fibres, concrete, food, fertilizer, liquid fuels and many others have the potential to offer superior performance, lower cost, and lower carbon footprint when made from CO2. Our project “Demonstration of innovated carbon economy value chain” contributes to CO2 initiative and is part of that emerging industry, known as “carbon-to-value” or “carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS)”. Demonstration of new way of CO2 resource multi productive usage such way creating new increased value chain is our project primary goal. Our model reduces entrepreneur risk entering emerging carbontech industry and makes more feasible carbon capture and storage investments. It is scalable model and can accelerate efforts in a new low-carbon economy build. Project is consisting of two phases. The first phase, technology readiness of TLR 6, is focused on resources, “Energy storage & production in geological formation”, will generate substantial income and it is main interest of this proposal. In more details project will be presented to interested party at the meeting. The second phase, technology readiness of TLR 4, is focused on R&D and demonstration of new CO2 technologies and products, “Carbon advanced products”, will be separate proposal subject. Technology MID-MIX ® is recycling of waste material based on hydrocarbons, where the result is a dry white powder that can be used as a raw material, called Neutral. The basic principle of technology is that with adding of CaO in sludge under the 3T conditions the sludge reacts in process of vacuum incapslulation. The plant can be realized as mobile, or stationary depending of amount of sludge on site. The capacity of input sludge into the plant is from 2 to 4 t/h sludge (25%DS), depending of characteristics of sludge. The Neutral can be used in civil industry, or primer material to cement industry, or for direct filing to/on land (EoW principle). Environment impact is controlled by dust filter and scrubbing system, as well as low CO2 emission.

“Charge As You Go!“ is a service for users of electric vehicles (EV) for charging EV battery anywhere in the World using IOT communication, newly developed devices and software. Central software supervises battery capacity in EV using IOT communication and estimates the probability of arrival to the next available charging station. If probability is low, software alarms mobile terrain unit (light truck or van), equipped with battery and charging kit, which starts to meet EV and charge its battery on first possible rendezvous spot (along the road, parking place, gas station…). With this service, user of EVs will get rid of any range anxiety and fear of running out of the power on longer drives, which will increase the number of EVs on the road and help environment by reducing gas emissions. The service would be available on the territory of Europe (and more) as unique service for all users whatever their location is (the same rules will apply in every country where the service is available). The service is intended to be addition to existing static charging stations, and it only fills in the space between the regular charging of EV. Charge as you go! acts proactively, dynamically and you user see us only when he needs us. It is easy, fast and reliable. The service will be used mostly outside of urban zones and in the regions with low density of charging stations but has no limitations to be used in cities.

Applying advanced ICT solutions in combination with the energy storage would enable the end user to monitor and control its energy balance and optimize grid parameters according to technical and / or economic criteria. The key activities of this modular energy storage R&D project are: • Design of a flexible grid connection – the modular energy storage must be designed in a way that enables simple and flexible connection to different distribution substation topologies. The aim is to enable fast and simple integration to existing substations in order to enable grid mobility. • Modular energy storage design – enable economic optimization of energy storage capacity and power for flexible adaption due to seasonal variations in microgrid requirements. • Software development – the energy storage must enable a user-defined optimization by defining various technical and / or economic criteria • Implementation and testing – all designed and developed product elements should be tested and adjusted according to the test results of a pilot energy storage unit. • Final product design – includes complete test results of the modular energy storage with the finalized electrical and mechanical project design. The expected result of the project is a modular and mobile solution for electrical energy storage, in order to support the operation of microgrids, according to user-defined optimization criteria. This would enable the application of the product in different modes of operation for example island systems with a large share of distributed energy resources.

Digitalization, collecting, monitoring and advanced data analysis in key local government sectors, such as health, education, public administration, transport and energy, creates effective value for citizens through effective management of complex systems. It is the systems in which citizens are directly involved, such as waste disposal, that are the most complex and often characterized by the slowest transformation into smart systems. The need to create a smart and complete collection chain, from end-user doorstep to the last stop of waste disposal centres, requires greater investment than today, but also creating innovative and adaptive digital solutions that make today passive and disconnected systems a circular economy. The idea of “Smart Waste”, a platform for smart waste management aimed at utility companies and Croatian citizens came about on such a concept. The path of development ranges from the initial desire of a small group of people to change the current situation in their cities and make them nicer and healthier places to live, to a complex, user-friendly platform for smart waste management for each user. The project aims to create a platform and prepare it for launch onto the market, the platform prototype will be developed based on initial market requirements identified by preliminary research into the platform through surveys, conferences, interviews and conversations with potential partners. The prototype should meet the requirements of interested potential clients (local governments, not government organizations, academia). Smart Waste is a comprehensive waste management system. It covers the entire waste management process, with a focus on the end-user, i.e. citizens and utility companies under local government units. In addition, the project involves buyers and waste processors who together close the circular economy, returning resources to the process by extracting them from secondary raw materials. The concept is conceived as an integration of tanks, sensors, bags, RFID chips, and a complex but modular software solution. The door-to-door waste collection principle is the backbone of the solution, which is in line with EU regulations and guidelines, and is realized through an intuitive, scalable platform that is constantly accessible to all participants in the process.

With its sensory elements, the system automatically detects and controls the largest number of pollutants in the space, among which allergens, vapors gases, formaldehyde, radon, viruses and bacteria pose the greatest danger to people. Via information communication technology, the optimal air purification and treatment system in enclosed spaces is then activated. While the Model 1, is a mechanical device with a small number of automatic functions, the Hybrid model, provides purification of the most of the indoor pollutants and it is suitable to applicate in multiple industries and for different purposes. Process is managed by an automatic measuring and controlling having the ability to store information in a remote server. Integrated programming features with a large database create the conditions for learning about our space usage habits and generally teach us about the importance of keeping the air we breathe clean and healthy. iTherapy technology has incorporated 3 patents and 2 copyrights.

It takes around 1 minute to learn how to spin & throw Spinfly and than fun and exploration of numerous possibilities begins. Soon we are starting Spinfly Open, a competitive sport in nature and open fields with rules close to Disc Golf. Thanks to collaboration with Evegreen startup of Velenje, Slovenia, Spinfly is made of 100% biodegradable materials based on bamboo. These are huge quantities of plastics and leather which are fooding our environment. MIRET environmentally advanced sneakers are made 96% out of plants, 1% metal components, 2% natural earth minerals and less then 1% non-renewable materials. We have successfully replaced 99% of non-sustainable, non-renewables, plastics and toxic chemicals with bio-based and eco-sustainable alternatives while retaining product durability. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the Republic of Croatia. The incidence of breast cancer in 2015. amounted to 126,3/100 000. Breast cancer mortality in Croatia is 47,7/100 000. The scientific community is continuously looking for ways of improving breast cancer diagnostics and markers that would allow us to predict the development of the disease and thereby influence therapeutic options. The basic radiological method for early detection of breast cancer is mammography. In Croatia there are no contrasting digital mammographs or automatic UZV. The introduction of these methods would: increase the number of detections in early phase of breast cancer, optimize costs due to avoiding therapeutic procedures regularly used in treatment, increase the number of patients that could be treated in a shorter period set a base for the possibility of automatic ultrasound use in places with a lack of radiologists, as the recordings could be read by telemedicine. The main goal of the project is the development of an innovative e-health system for early and reliable detection of breast cancer, which is based on the integration of digital mammography data and automatic ultrasound through advanced methods of interpretable personalized machine learning and computer vision, and digital phenotypings via mobile app. Developed innovative system for the first time connects specialized medical and diagnostic protocols and self-initiative personalized action of the patient themselves, thus enabling solving the two biggest problems of successful timely diagnosis and Treatment: (1) Reducing the time of engagement of highly specialized medical staff and (2) timely involvement of patients in the Smart diagnostic protocol.

Aqualifter je inovativan proizvod koji je prisutan na tržištu već 10-ak godina i uspješno se koristi na hrvatskim plažama. Postoji sve veći interes za Aqualifterom kako na našem, tako i na stranom tržištu, ali to nam u ovom trenutku predstavlja određeni problem. Naime, zadnjih nekoliko godina imamo u planu napraviti novi model Aqualiftera koji bi bio puno lakši za sastavljanje, ugradnju i održavanje, napajao bi se iz obnovljivih izvora energije, bio bi prilagodljiviji korisnicima i dr., ali na žalost taj projekt još nismo uspjeli realizirati. Smatramo da je potrebno ubrzati realizaciju ovog projekta i konačno plasirati novi model Aqualiftera na globalno tržište, jer je vrlo napredan proizvod s obzirom na konkurenciju i doprinosi samostalnom i sigurnom kretanju osobama s invaliditetom. Since EU is lagging behind its major innovation competitors (Switzerland, USA, Singapore, Israel, Sweden, Republic of Korea and Canada), there is a strong indication that the segment of the business process, from laboratory to the market, is not being managed and funded effectively. Hence, there is a need to research best practices of the technology transfer in the successful innovation countries (as per the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2019), benchmark and recommend policy for the EU.
